Wir laden alle Interessierten dazu ein, auf  “DEM” Event des Berliner Kunst Herbsts, mit der FettMama schnell und schmutzig in der Markthalle in Kreuzberg zu schmusen. Nach einer kleinen OP wartet die Mama in einer eventuell noch nie dagewesenen Höchstform von Donnerstag bis Sonntag sehnsüchtig auf euch. Aufgebockt mit neuem Herzstück und neuen Stimmbändern wird sie euch mit neuen Mutterqualitäten ,bereit fuer alle Schandtaten zur verfügung stehen.. Hier auch nochmals vielen Dank an unsere Treuen SugarDaddys. Wir hoffen auf ein fruchtbares und spannendes Festival mit regem Austausch, und freuen uns auf alte wie neue Gesichter.

Presäntiert werden in der alten Markthalle IX Eisenbahnstraße (Berlin-Kreuzberg) auf 1´000 m2 eine einzigartige Selektion aus Malerei, Illustration und Grafik, über Skulptur und Installation, Videokunst und Fotografie bis hin zu Performances. Als Off-Veranstaltung parallel zur ArtForum & ArtPreview Berlin vereint SCHNELL & SCHMUTZIG über vier Tage ein allumfassendes und künstlerisch inspirierendes Programm in einem außergewöhnlichen Zwischenraum für zeitgenössische Kunst:Der alten Markthalle IX.

Am Freitag gibt’s dank dem guten DJ Gimmix nicht nur satt was auf die Ohren, sondern mit freundlicher Unterstützung von AnotherRepublic durch die Herren m0n0mind und wechselplatte von projektionsareal.org auch Arbeit für die Äuglein. Zu sehen gibt es Bilderfluten aus dem Projekt “rewire.to.remix”.

Kleine Neuerung für alle, die an den beiden desaströsen Halbzijt-Parties teilgenommen hatten. Wir haben die Party diesmal aus terminlichen Gründen auf den Abend vor die Eröffnung der Stijl gelegt! Notiert Euch also den Termin und kommt rum:

After the successful first edition in 2009 in PUBLIC Provocation This year, one more showcase than urban and diverse. Parallel to the international art fair in Basel unite large Names, styles and forms of contemporary graffiti and street art Scene from June to Okober in Weil am Rhein. An insight into the current work the scene, which in its composition, the curatorial work of Sigi of Koedinger I Dare continues. headerBg2010Die Festival-Saison startet an diesem Wochenende in die erste Runde und wir machen uns auf den Weg, um nichts zu verpassen.  Das Immergut 2010 lädt ein, auch hier ein lustiges Potpourri an Digitalcollagen der Besucher zu saugen. Wie immer gespannt und voller Vorfreude ist der Kopierapparat sicher geparkt und wartet auf die nächtlichen Begebenheiten. Wir freuen uns ganz besonders, dass der geliebte Apparillo wieder in die Spur geschickt wird und verkünden hiermit: “Die Mama ist nun häufiger in Berlin anzutreffen.” Also, die CopyMachine einmal zu benutzen, sollte auf jeder “Was muss ich im Leben noch machen”-Liste  stehen, denn wenn wir es schaffen, sie tatsächlich ins Weltall zu schießen, könnt Ihr beim “First Contact” pädagogische Pionierarbeit leisten.

Ab 1900Uhr wird Jens.Wunderling eine Einführung in das Creative Computing Framework geben.

About:

Creativecomputing (cc) is an open source framework to create interactive multimedia applications. It contains classes for simple graphic output, loading and saving content.

cc is inspired by the processing environment a programming language and ide for designers and artists, which is developed by ben fry and casey reas. It started as an opengl renderer for processing but has developed to an independent framework. A lot of inspiration, code fragments and implementations have been taken from processing, processing libraries and the processing forum.

“Doing Strange Things With Electricity” war der montägliche Thementag in der Berliner Raumstation C-Base, zur diesjährigen Transmediale. Kurze Einladung – Projektionsareal anwesend – BrüllTennis aufgebaut – SPORT FREI! Empfehlenswerte Veranstaltung mit vielen interessanten Projekten.

The DARK LUMINANCE Project is the brain-child of curators John Derrick and James Hullick. Derrick and Hullick refer to the aesthetic for this project as DARK LUMINANCE – luminance emanating from darkness.

The first iteration of the DARK LUMINANCE Project took place in two Galleries in New York; GALLERY SAKIKO based in Chelsea NY; and the acclaimed PRATT INSTITUTE in Brooklyn. It was a runaway success – “totally mind blowing” as one critic remarked.  The ‘other’ is celebrated in DARK LUMINANCE – the unknown – the mystery – the subconscious – the subterranean. DARK LUMINANCE has identified the dialogue between old and new technologies as a feature of the DARK LUMINANCE aesthetic and the curators have sought to draw this out through the use of real and virtual art works.

To date the DARK LUMINANCE Project has taken the form of real and virtual gallery based exhibitions and installations (virtual exhibitions have been shown in SecondLife). In 2009, for example, DARK LUMINANCE Project will take place in the exhibition format as DARK LUMINANCE @ MARS.

DARK LUMINANCE has been supported by: JOLT Arts Inc., MARS Gallery, Gallery Sakiko, The Pratt Institute, RMIT School of Creative Media and School of Art, Austrade, and the participating artists.

Haslacher Straße | 1. – 8. August 2009

Bei den Invasion Kulturtage in der Haslacher Straße, dreht sich eine ganze Woche lang alles um Kunst und Kultur. Ziel ist es , darzustellen, wie Vielfälltig junge Kulturen in Freiburg sind, ihnen Aufmerksamkeit zu verschaffen und Menschen für urbane Kunst zu begeistern.

Hierzu versammeln sich Designer wie pepworx.de(sign), Moka Design oder Gehring Raumkonzepte, Streetartists wie Index, Dust und Tom Brane, Töpferreien, Alteliers und der Bahnweg 6 gleichermaßen wie die Videokünstler SushiCutters.

Während der Kulturtage präsentieren all diese Künstler ihre Arbeiten und bieten eine ganze Palette an Workshops an, um Interessierten einen Einblick in ihre Arbeit zu verschaffen. Für das musikalische Programm der Woche sorgen u.a. Konrad Küchenmeister, Sun Son, Bui Me Some Beeah und diverse Bands.
Tanzbares von Platte bringen die DJs Thorsten Leucht, jan.ehret, Bionic Beat Club, Mr. Tentacles, Cheezery Corporation, Flowin’ Vibes, be.wider, KRS, Eazy M., Orks Maschine, Beyond, M. Fischer und viele mehr um
nur einige zu nennen.

Public Provocations @ Carhartt Gallery | Review

EnerzessProtion 2.0Anlässlich der Ausstellung “Public Provocations” in der Carhartt Gallery in Wheil am Rhein, im Rahmen der Art Basel, präsentiert ProjektionsAreal eine interaktive Installation, welche einen tieferen Einblick in den Entstehungsprozess von “Graffiti” ermöglicht. Die Künstler Stefan Strumbel – Deine Heimat, Raffael Gerlach – Satone und Andreas von Chrzanowski – Case, schufen hierfür jeweils eine für sie typische Arbeit, deren Schöpfung von den Besuchern mit Hilfe interaktivierter Sprühdosen genauer untersucht werden können.

Die Display-Elemente, wovon jedes die Arbeit eines Künstlers zeigt, wurden mit der Unterstützung von bao-nghi droste design gestaltet. Um die thematische Verbindung zu urbanem Raum und Streetart zu visualisieren, fand hierfür einzig Beton als Material Verwendung. Wie aus dem Boden gewachsen, erscheinen die Objekte als wären sie in Eile hochgezogene Wolkenkratzer. Zueinander in Schräglage versetzt, lässt die einzelnen Betonblöcke in Beziehung zueinander treten, wodurch eine lebendige Skulptur entsteht, deren Erscheinung sich je nach Betrachtungswinkel stets aufs Neue verändert. Die Umsetzung der Betonkonstruktionen übernahm ein neuer Teil des Projektionsareal-Netzwerks: Gehring-Raumkonzepte.
